Columbia police investigate Sunday night robbery

Columbia police are searching for the suspect who robbed a Midwest Petroleum store Sunday night off Providence Road.

According to police, the suspect entered the store and demanded money from the cashier, implying he had a weapon, but no weapon was seen.

The suspect left the store on a bicycle heading eastbound on Locust Street with money.
There was no one injured during the robbery.

The suspect description is a black male, approximately feet 5 inches tall, last seen wearing a ball cap, shirt and jeans.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation is ongoing.
