MU robbery suspect charged in fraternity home invasion

A robbery suspect on the University of Missouri campus is now charged in a home invasion in a fraternity house the same night.

Treshaun Butner was taken into custody last week on Wednesday, May 6. He barricaded himself inside a home on Redwood Drive near Ash Street and West Boulevard in central Columbia.

The night before, police think he knocked an MU student to the ground outside Hawthorne Hall near Stankowski Field, grabbing $19 in cash. Butner does not attend college.

Butner was charged Friday afternoon in connection to a home invasion and robbery at Phi Delta Theta on Burnam Avenue near Rollins and Providence that also happened on May 5th.

Two or three men with guns burst into the building through an unlocked door, ransacking one room with two people inside at the time.

One of them went to the hospital for a head injury.

Butner is now held in the Boone County Jail on $100,000 cash only bond.
