Four-year-old girl seriously injured in Holts Summit lawn mower accident

A four-year-old girl was seriously injured in a riding lawn mower accident in Holts Summit Tuesday afternoon.

Holts Summit Police Sergeant Marc Haycook told ABC 17 News the accident happened just before 4:30 in the 100 block of North Summit Drive.

Haycook said there were officers in the area when the call came in, and they were able to provide emergency aid to the girl.

Haycoook said the girl suffered substantial bleeding, and was taken by ambulance to Capital Region Hospital before being flown to a hospital in Columbia.

The girl’s condition is unknown at this time.
