Person recovering after being hit near downtown Columbia

A pedestrian is recovering Friday after being hit in Columbia Friday morning.

The accident happened at Broadway and Waugh Street.

ABC 17 News is still looking to find out the condition of the pedestrian.

This comes during the Columbia Police Department’s pedestrian and bicycle safety campaign.

The campaign was started after two pedestrian accidents in Columbia this year.
