Reward increases in Rickie Dunn homicide case

The Crime Stoppers reward for information in the Rickie Dunn homicide in Columbia has been increased to $2,000.

Dunn was shot and killed on Illinois Avenue in Columbia on November 30, and no arrests have been made.

ABC 17 has been following up weekly on the case with Columbia Police, but they said they have no information, and the investigation is ongoing.

ABC 17 talked to Rickie Dunn’s father, James Dunn, back in January. James said he just wanted closure, but police had not even contacted him with any updates about his son’s case.

Dunn said after that story aired, police reached out and he feels the case is moving forward.

Now that the reward has been increased, Dunn said he feels the case will continue to move forward.

“We’re hoping that through doing this here, it will be able to give my family and I a bit of closure. We’re still in need of closure,” said Dunn.
