Fatal motorcycle crash in Morgan County on Saturday night
MORGAN, Mo. (KMIZ)
One man is dead after a fatal crash in Morgan County on Saturday night.
Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the crash happened at 10:10 on Saturday night on MO 52 Eastbound about 1,000 feet from Stevenson Lane.
35-year-old Jeffery Smith from Stover, was traveling eastbound on a 2003 Harley Davidson Motorcycle when a Jeep turned left in front of Smith. Smith then hit the Jeep and was then pronounced dead at the scene.
Smith was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident according to the crash report.
The driver of the Jeep, did not have any injuries reported.
Correction: Original reporting stated Smith turned in front of the Jeep. In actuality, the MSHP crash report states the Jeep turned in front of Smith.
