Snow crews prepare for ice in Columbia

Columbia Public Works has an eight person crew pre-treating the roads this weekend in preparation for more ice.

The full crew will report at 6 p.m. Friday and work throughout the night.

MoDOT officials told ABC 17 News they have 19 trucks in Columbia pre-treating local streets.

They will focus on hills, curves, and bridges.

The night shift at Boone County Public Works reports at 5 p.m. on Friday.

They are going to have eight trucks on the roads pre-treating and clearing problem areas throughout the entire weekend.
