Tracking a sunny start to a warmer week

TODAY: Monday is sunny and mild, with high temperatures forecast around 75° amid westerly winds.

TONIGHT: Temperatures fall into the 60s around sunset, and into the 50s for sunrise Tuesday.

EXTENDED: Most of Tuesday is sunny, but a cold front will work in Tuesday evening, bringing a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Just enough instability is forecast to make possible an isolated strong storm capable of hail and gusty winds, but severe weather is unlikely. Most of the forecast is warm and dry. Highs are forecast in the 70s under sunny skies on Wednesday and Thursday, but rain chances increase alongside temperatures Friday through Sunday in a more active forecast. Spotty storm chances and highs in the 80s are forecast this weekend.
