Layoffs at Nordyne plant in Boonville begin Friday

Fifty employees at Nordyne’s Boonville facility are expected to be laid off Friday. The factory is expected to be completely shut down sometime this summer.

The company based on O’Fallon announced in November its factories in Boonville and Poplar Bluff would close. Nordyne is a subsidiary of Nortek and makes residential heating and cooling equipment.
