Man accused of shopping, driving drunk with small child in car

A Mid-Missouri man is back on the streets, after he is accused of drunk driving with a child in the car.

Joseph Cardwell just was arrested around 12:30 Wednesday afternoon near the HyVee off East Nifong in south Columbia.

Witness saw Cardwell stumbled around the store, and then sped away with a 4-year-old inside his vehicle.

Police claim he smelled like alcohol.
