Man arrested in connection with Columbia vehicle assault
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Police arrested Darell L. Rogers, 35, in connection with an assault at a Break Time convenience store on Tuesday. Online jail records show he was booked into the Boone County Jail early Wednesday morning.
Officers were sent to the Break Time convenience store on Business Loop and Garth Avenue a little after 5 a.m. Tuesday after what is being called an assault with a vehicle.
Columbia Police Department Spokesman Jeff Pitts said a 51-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman were the intended targets of the assault. Pitts said the woman who had a previous relationship with Rogers was not hurt. The man was taken to an emergency room for minor injuries.
According to online jail records, officers arrested Rogers on suspicion of several crimes. These suspected crimes include domestic assault, assault, property damage, tampering with a vehicle, abandonment of a vehicle, armed criminal action, leaving the scene of an injury accident and driving with a revoked or suspended license.
