Fire damages house, destroys cars and garage in Boonville

Firefighters were at the scene of a house fire in Boonville Tuesday afternoon.

Crews were working to contain the flames in the 1200 block of Jefferson Road.

The back of the house and the garage were fully engulfed when crews arrived.

Those parts of the house and the garage were destroyed along with two cars.

The Red Cross was also called to assist the family.
