Teen arrested after robbing Jefferson City convenience store

A 16-year-old boy was arrested Friday after allegedly robbing a Jefferson City convenience store.

The boy came into the Bee Line Snack Shop at 1100 Missouri Boulevard and pointed a gun at the clerk.

He threatened the clerk with what looked like a black semi-automatic pistol and was given money from the register.

He then ran off to a home in the 1400 block of St. Mary’s Blvd.

Officers found the suspect shortly after and took him into custody.

He was taken to Prenger Family Center for 1st degree robbery and armed criminal action.

Officers determined the gun used in the robbery was actually a black airsoft gun and it was found after they searched the home.
