Tracking more sunshine today and a few rain chances ahead

TODAY: Mostly sunny skies and southwest winds will push temperatures into the 60s today. Winds are sustained around 10-15 mph, gusting to 20 mph at times.

TONIGHT: Temperatures fall into the 50s around sunset, leaving us on a path back to the 40s by sunrise on Friday. Clouds will increase overnight, into early Friday morning.

EXTENDED: Friday is dry through the morning, but a weak cold front will bring a few showers and thunderstorms through the afternoon. Instability will be low until the late afternoon near I-44. Here, hail may be possible from the strongest storms. Highs reach near 70° on Friday and 80° on Saturday. Rain chances return overnight Saturday into Sunday morning. Some showers may linger into the mid-Morning on Sunday. Sunday's high is forecast to be around 70°.
