Boone Hospital south campus progress on track
Progress continues on the new south campus of Boone Hospital Center.
The hospital’s board of trustees met Wednesday to approve bids on concrete, metal, plumbing, and electric totaling $2.6 million.
Officials broke ground on the new south campus in July at the corner of Nifong and Forum.
The project is expected to top $20 million and be complete sometime next year.
The memorial for fallen Columbia officer Molly Bowden will be moved to a permanent spot inside a small park with a reflection pool as part of the project.
