Jefferson City man charged after stabbing

A Jefferson City man is charged after allegedly stabbing his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend, and damaging his car early Tuesday morning.

24-year-old Brandon Rapier is charged with 1st degree property damage, armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon, and 1st degree assault.

Jefferson City Police responded to a stabbing at 1409 E. McCarty. When they arrived, they found the victim with stab wounds in the arm and torso.

Rapier allegedly cut the victim’s tires and broke the front windshield of his car before confronting him on the porch.

Rapier was able to get away until around 12:00 p.m. when officers got enough information to find him and take him into custody.
