Columbia house fire damage estimated at $80,000

Multiple fire crews responded to a residential house fire on Park Avenue and 9th Street in Columbia shortly before 1:00 Tuesday afternoon.

ABC 17 News viewer Allie Wolfe sent in this picture from the fire:

Damage appeared to be significant, and was estimated to be around $80,000.

The Red Cross assisted the family by providing food, clothing, shoes, and hygiene items.

The cause of the fire is still unknown at this time, one woman was taken to University Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Two cats were found deceased inside the home after the fire was put out.
