Man uses propane tank to break into home, take child

A Columbia man is facing charges after police said he broke into a home with a propane tank and took a child.

It happened Monday in the 1300 block of Godas Drive. Police said Marcus Clark used a propane tank to break the window of a home to get in. A female victim inside took off running out of the home.

Clark then took a seven month old child and left.

Officers caught up to Clark and the victim on Newton Drive. Investigators said the victim is related to Clark and was not harmed.

Clark was arrested for burglary and parental kidnapping.
