AT&T wireless issues for Jaycee’s Cole County Fair opening night

The Cole County Jaycee’s Fair might have seen a near record crowd for an opening night, but cell phone issues were the hot topic.

AT&T wireless services in West Jefferson City were problematic from about 7p.m to 9:30p.m.

Fair volunteers had to resort to hand-held radios, while the Cole County Sheriff’s Department relied on a mobile incident command center.

The company told the Sheriff’s Department they were having multiple tower issues.

When ABC 17 reached out to the company we were told there were no issues.

AT &T later released this statement to ABC 17 News, “Earlier this evening wireless services may have been impacted for some AT&T customers in the Jefferson City area. Service has been restored. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused”.
