Tracking spot showers and storms to start the week

MONDAY: A few showers will be possible this morning, east of HWY 63. By this afternoon, a few more spotty storms will get up and going, so don’t set the umbrella down. Temperatures look to top out in the low to mid 80’s.

TONIGHT: Anything leftover will fizzle by about 9-10 PM. We’ll be left with partly cloudy skies as lows make their way back into the upper 60’s.

EXTENDED: It looks like we get to do this all over again tomorrow with the spotty afternoon storms. Highs will return to the middle 80’s. That threat will stay with us for the rest of the workweek, with the widely isolated afternoon storms. Mother Nature will make it tougher though to find those, as a ridge will strengthen overhead. That, in turn, will thin out the coverage more and warm things up into Thursday and Friday. Highs will push into the low 90’s, and will feel like the middle 90’s with the humidity. Be sure to stay very hydrated to close the week out, with this being our first real exposure to some heat and humidity. It’ll back off a bit into the weekend, with temperatures back in the middle 80’s.
