Tracking summer like heat

THURSDAY: We’ll wake up to some more clouds, but those are on the way out! Sunshine will take their place this afternoon, helping temperatures warm into the low 80’s.

TONIGHT: Staying mostly clear overnight. Lows fall to near 60.

EXTENDED: The trend keeps going into Friday and Saturday. More bright skies expected with temperatures climbing into the middle to upper 80’s. An upper-level system will be meandering through the Southern Plains this weekend and might get close enough to spark a storm or two Sunday afternoon. The chances look a little better Monday-onward, with the system a bit closer. These chances seem to be favoring the afternoon-evening timeframe when many of us will warm into the 80’s next week.
