Tracking a dreary start for some this morning

DAMP START

WEDNESDAY: Some fog and light sprinkles will make the start to the day a bit gloomy south of I-70. This looks like it might be tough to shake, even into the afternoon. Some of those light showers could pick up some thunder this afternoon, but most won’t. Highs will top out in the middle 70’s again where it stays dry, but will be stuck in the 60’s where it doesn’t.

TONIGHT: Most of the rain pushes south overnight. Lows bottom out in the upper 50’s.

EXTENDED: We’ll get into a pattern where we can’t completely rule out a stray shower in the afternoons the next few days. Most of us will manage to avoid them for a few days, however. Temperatures will gradually warm from the low 80’s Thursday into the middle 80’s Saturday. Our next shot at some rain looks to hold off until Sunday. A cutoff low will take it’s time getting here from the dessert southwest. It’ll stick around late Sunday through the first part of next week, keeping the rain chances around each day.
