Columbia police: Shooting damages home near Douglass Park

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

One home was damaged after shots fired at the 400 block of Providence Road.

Officials report that no one was injured, but they have no suspect description at this time.

ABC 17 News crew on scene saw crime scene tape was up and police shut down Fifth Street.

Our crew on scene reported seeing evidence markers near the park along with the crime scene investigation van.

Witnesses our crew spoke to report hearing gunshots in the area.

One witness said that he was asleep but was woken up by the sound of gunshots. Another witness reported seeing a person running from the scene, but wasn't sure what was happening.

Columbia police cleared the scene around 7:45 p.m.
