Tracking isolated storms, mainly dry week ahead
TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy and mild with lows in the upper 50s.
TOMORROW: Variably cloudy with an isolated shower or storm as a disturbance passes through the region. Highs in the lower 70s with a light northeast breeze.
EXTENDED: Low pressure to our south begins to exit the region on Thursday, giving us more of a southwesterly breeze. We can't rule out a storm or two during the day driven by afternoon heating, but the chances are slim to see rain in any one area. Highs get to about 80 on Thursday. As we approach the weekend, a ridge of high pressure begins to build over the Midwest, keeping us in the low 80s for highs and relatively dry. I don't plan on putting precipitation chances in the 7-day forecast given the very low chance of a rogue shower or storm, but there could be one or two both days before sunset on Friday/Saturday. Sunday will bring another chance for rain and a few storms with a closed low pressure system to our south through Monday; that will continue to give us chances for more measurable rain early next week. Severe weather is not expected this week.
