Fulton shooting victim in good condition

A Columbia man who was shot last Saturday night in Fulton’s Carver Park is listed in good condition at a Columbia hospital, according to a news release from the Fulton Police.

58-year-old Daryl Umbles was taken from the park by a Staff for Life helicopter around 9 p.m.

An ABC 17 News crew at the scene reported investigators were searching for evidence around the park’s shelter at 9:15 p.m. and had cleared the scene by 10:30 p.m.

According to a news release, witnesses said the shooting was the result of an armed robbery.

Little other information was available at that time about suspect descriptions.

Anyone with information about the shooting was asked to call Fulton police or CrimeStoppers.
