Mizzou coaching search update: April 22, 2014
The University of Missouri appears to be looking at UTEP coach Tim Floyd, according to ESPN’s Jeff Goodman. Multiple reports say UTEP AD Bob Stull says he has not been contacted by either Floyd or Missouri about a move. Stull was a former football player at the University of Missouri.
Floyd previously coached at Southern California before landing at UTEP. He was cleared of an investigation alleging that he paid former USC star OJ Mayo while he was coaching the Trojans. Floyd, 60, has a deal that runs through 2015 and does not include a financial penalty for walking away early.
Central Missouri’s Kim Anderson is also allegedly a target for Mizzou. He is a former Norm Stewart assistant.
If you think you have the chops to replace Frank Haith, go right ahead and apply.
The University of Missouri just posted the men’s basketball coaching position on Monday.
