MoDOT striping delayed by rain

MoDOT road crews began striping on state highways Monday, but had to stop early in the day due to rain showers that moved through the area during the morning hours.

Crews will resume striping this week and next, weather permitting.

Striping will start on U.S. 54 from Jefferson City to the Lake of the Ozarks.

On Tuesday, road stripers will be focusing on the reconfiguration of Route 179 in Jefferson City.

Striping will be delayed on U.S. 63 from Jefferson City to Columbia until the overlay work is completed.

MoDOT said crews will likely stripe I-70 in Boone County by late April or early May.
