A teenager was arrested Sunday for assaulting a Boone County Sheriff’s deputy and resisting arrest.

The deputy was responding to a call on Limoges Drive at around 8 p.m. when he says Trammond Roberts, 17, came up to him. Roberts allegedly told the deputy he was going to take his gun, and then reached for it.

According to the arrest report, when the deputy tried to arrest Roberts, he resisted. Roberts was finally taken into custody and taken to jail.

He was booked into the Boone County jail on suspicion of assaulting a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest.
