Two armed suspects still on the run after shooting in north Columbia

The search continues for two suspects involved in an armed robbery on West Havens Drive Monday night.

Officers and deputies as well as the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a call of shots fired just after 8:30 p.m. Monday to the street just north of Columbia.

Deputies found out the suspects confronted the victim as he was leaving his home in the 200 block of West Havens Drive. The suspects displayed a handgun and demanded money.

The victim gave the two suspects what he had which was his keys and phone.

As the two suspects ran away, they fired several shots at the victim.

Officers at the scene said the victim was not injured.

The victim told deputies he did not know the two suspects.

A K-9 unit tracked a scent going north from the scene. Law enforcement is still working to find the suspects, who are considered armed and dangerous.

The suspects are described as black males wearing dark colored stocking hats. One was wearing a gray shirt, and the other was wearing a black shirt.
