Texas man arrested in Boone County child sex crimes case
A Texas man is being held in the Boone County Jail after his arrest in a child sex crimes case.
Investigators say on Monday they arrested La’Anthony Murphy, 24, on suspicion of statutory sodomy and furnishing pornographic materials to a minor.
Deputies say the victim is under the age of 13 and told them she was assaulted by the suspect at her home on Santa Barbara.
The girl’s brother also said Murphy showed him pornographic images on a cell phone.
The case started when officials at the girl’s school discovered evidence of the assault.
