Columbia police arrest teenager for Aspen Heights armed robbery

A Columbia teenager was arrested Thursday for an armed robbery at Aspen Heights.

Officers arrested Kejuane Marshae Johnson, 17, just before 5 p.m. in the 4400 block of Belleview Drive West. Police say they were serving a search warrant to look for evidence connected to Tuesday’s robbery at the student housing complex.

According to police, Johnson approached a woman who was walking her dog outside of her home. The suspect pointed a handgun at the victim and told her to go inside, where he demanded money from her and another woman.

Officers say he fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. Neither victim was injured.

Johnson was arrested on two counts of first-degree robbery, two counts of armed criminal action and possession of marijuana.
