Man pleads guilty to pawn shop murder
A suspect will spend the next 20 years in prison for beating another man to death inside a Mid-Missouri pawn shop two years ago. Calvin Dibble pleaded guilty on Friday to second-degree murder in the death of Verdayne Schacher.
Dibble fled Missouri after Schacher was attacked on the job at Tiger Pawn in November 2011. He died two days later.
Dibble was arrested a few days after that in Kansas, but it took 18 months for authorities to return him to Mid-Missouri. Dibble was also on parole at the time.
