One person dead after motorcycle crash in Montgomery County

MCKITTRICK, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a Tuesday night motorcycle crash in Montgomery County killed one person.

According to crash reports, Cody Berkbigler, 34, was driving on Highway 19 at 8:15 p.m. when he failed to make a curve.

Troopers said the motorcycle then traveled off the road and down an embankment, hitting several trees.

Berkbigler was pronounced dead at University Hospital just before 10:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Tuesday's crash is Troop F's sixth fatality in April and the 15th for 2021.
