Maries County AT&T customers getting poor service

We’ve been following an AT&T cellular service problem in Maries County for nearly a month.

Wednesday, U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer’s office told ABC 17 the wireless provider told them the problem was fixed on Sept. 16.

But when we went to Maries County to talk to customers we found they were still unable to connect.

Gene Dudley said, “No internet, no 4G, we can’t even make calls.”

Dudley is a retired AT&T employee. He told ABC 17 he’s sad that customer service no longer seems to be important to the company.

He pays about $250 per month for four lines but can’t even connect to Facebook in his own driveway.

We used another service provider on his front lawn and got uninterrupted service.

Congressman Luetkemeyer’s office told ABC 17 it will continue to work on behalf of the citizens. Spokesman Paul Sloca said Luetkemeyer is from a rural community and realizes the importance of wireless service. They’ll be checking back in with residents who have complained recently to make sure they’re getting what they are paying for.
