Man shot in head near Lake of the Ozarks

Law enforcement in Morgan County say one man remains in critical condition and another faces charges after a weekend shooting.

The incident happened Sunday on Wolf Way, off Forest Drive in Gravois Mills near the Lake of the Ozarks.

Investigators say Leon Cott, 65, was found in his driveway with a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to the hospital where he underwent surgery and remains stable.

The suspect, 29-year-old Timothy Stovall, was taken into custody without incident at his home on Forest Drive.

Investigators are still looking into a motive and hope to speak to Cott in the next few days as he recovers.
