Columbia police respond to robbery at Passion’s store

Columbia police responded to a robbery at Passion’s around 8 p.m. Tuesday at 1108 Business Loop 70 East.

An employee says he saw the suspect walk into the store and appear to browse merchandise before he walked up to the cash register and demanded money.

Police are uncertain if he was armed but say he took an undisclosed amount of money.

The employee working during the robbery told an ABC 17 News crew he believes tonight’s suspect came into the store around the same time last night.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, 5 foot 9 inches to 5 foot 10 inches, short hair and wearing a blue jacket and jeans.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident and say it is unknown if this robbery is connected to any of the other recent robberies in the city.
