Centralia man seriously injured in crash

A Centralia man was seriously injured in an early Sunday morning car crash in Audrain County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 21-year-old Justin Aleshire was driving eastbound on Highway 22 near Thompson around 4 a.m. when the accident happened.

Troopers say Aleshire’s car crossed the center line, traveled off the left side of the road then swerved back across the center line and off the right side of the road before hitting a tree.

Aleshire was transported by helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries.

A passenger, Tresor Kasara, 20, of Columbia, suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Audrain Medical Center.

Troopers say both Aleshire and Kasara were wearing seat belts.
