University of Missouri chancellor search continues

The search for University of Missouri’s 22nd chancellor continues.

Brady Deaton announced his retirement in June after nine years as chancellor. His last day is Nov. 15.

In July, an 18-person search committee of deans, alumni, faculty, and students began working on finding their new leader.

“We are aiming high for the 22nd chancellor at MU, and I want to assure you that we will accept nothing short of excellence in this next leader,” says UM system president, Tim Wolfe.

The committee has two more months to find their next leader before Deaton leaves the position. However, Deaton will remain a part of MU’s community as executive director of the Brady and Anne Deaton Institute for University Leadership.
