Tacoma, Wash. man dies on Intertstate 70

A Tacoma, Washington man suffered a medical emergency while driving and died on interstate 70 Friday afternoon.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports, 66-year-old Douglas Perryman died before his Econoline van went off the highway and into an embankment.

Perryman was traveling eastbound on Interstate 70 at mile marker 152.3 around 3:05 p.m.

Troopers had not specified the cause of death Saturday night, but did indicate that they were not treating it as a traffic fatality.
