Jefferson City police investigate armed robbery

Jefferson City police are looking for two suspects involved in armed robbery.

Investigators say it happened around 2 a.m. Friday at the Phillips 66 on Stadium Drive.

Police say the suspects came in armed with handguns and demanded money. The cashier handed over the cash and the suspects took off running.

The police department’s K-9 unit was called to the area to track the suspects. The unit was able to track to the area of John and Dunford streets, but the suspects were not found.

The suspects are described as two black men, wearing all black clothing with black hoodies.

No one was injured in the robbery.
