Woman killed in Camden County car crash
A woman was killed and a man was seriously injured in a car crash Monday in Camden County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Joshua L. Shelton, 25, of Crocker was driving on Route A near Seven Springs Road around 6:15 p.m. Troopers day he failed to handle a curve, causing the car to travel off the road, hit a tree and overturn.
A passenger in the car, Melissa K. Crossland, 45, of Richland was pronounced dead at the scene.
Shelton was transported by helicopter to Mercy Hospital in Springfield with serious injuries.
Neither Shelton nor Crossland were wearing a seat belt, according to the Highway Patrol.
