Osage County flooding forces some residents to evacuate their homes

According to the National Weather Service, at the Rollins Ferry Access, the Gasconade River reached its highest level in history Thursday.

The river peaked at 34.39 feet.

The Rollins Ferry Access is just south of Linn, Mo., where some residents are now displaced.

One resident told ABC 17 News he can’t get to work because of the road closures.

One family was evacuated from their home by boat early Thursday morning.

Andrea Rice, emergency management coordinator for Osage County, said it’s uncertain how many homes are flooded at this time.

Emergency Management also said they don’t have a timeline for when those who have been evacuated will be able to return home.

Some are likely to find damage.

Highway Patrol was out in full force in Osage County Thursday.

They are warning people to stay away from flooded areas.
