Jefferson City man behind bars after stabbing woman

A Jefferson City man is behind bars after he allegedly stabbed a woman multiple times with a knife.

Police were called to the 100 block of W. Atchison around 2 a.m. Monday for a report of a disturbance. When officers arrived, they found a woman in the middle of the street bleeding from three stab wounds.

Officers later found the suspect, 50-year-old Willie Harrison, in a parking lot behind 815 Washington Street with a stab wound to his head.

Investigators say Harrison dragged the woman down a flight of stairs and stabbed her with a knife. The victim then stabbed Harrison in the head with a screwdriver.

Harrison and the victim were both transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

Harrison was arrested on charges of armed criminal action and second-degree domestic assault.
