Suspects on the run after robbing Break Time at gunpoint

Two suspects are on the run after robbing a Columbia Break Time convenience store at gunpoint late Friday night.

Around 10:31 p.m., officers were called to the Break Time on Vawter School Road in southwest Columbia for an armed robbery.

Police say two white males with handguns entered the store and demanded money from the clerk. They then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

No one was injured in the robbery. A K-9 unit tried to track the suspects, but police say the track was unsuccessful.

The first suspect is described as a white male, 6 feet 1 inch tall, slender build, and was last seen wearing a hat, sweatshirt, pants and a bandana over his face.

The second suspect is a white male, late teens to early 20s, 5 feet 1 inch tall, and last seen wearing a ligh-tcolored shirt, shorts and a bandana over his face.

Columbia police have not released surveillance video of the suspects.
