Centralia man arrested for child sex crimes
A Centralia man was arrested for allegedly raping and abusing a child.
The Centralia Police Department arrested 65-year-old George E. Green after nearly a week-long investigation that began July 17.
Boone County prosecutors charged Green with first-degree attempted statutory sodomy, first-degree statutory sodomy and first-degree child molestation.
Investigators say Green had sex multiple times with a girl who was under the age of 12. They say Green knew the child and the alleged incidents occurred over a five-year span.
Green is being held on a $300,000 bond in the Boone County Jail.
