Night club investigated for tattooing patrons

A night club in Jefferson City faces serious penalties after officials discovered a man was tattooing patrons in the middle of the club.

City administrator Nathan Nickolaus told ABC 17 News Tuesday that the city’s Liquor Control Board will be discussing Rumors Night Club, which is also called Club Lush. The club is located on Madison Street.

Officials say the tattoo artist was tattooing clubgoers in the middle of the bar. Nickolaus said that is a violation of both health and liquor codes.

The tattoo artist also has a warrant out for his arrest in Boone County.

Nickolaus said there are allegations that the business allowed underage people into the bar.

The city’s Liquor Control Board is scheduled to meet July 24 to discuss the club.
