Homicide investigation underway in Pulaski County
Multiple law enforcement agencies are investigating a homicide in Pulaski County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said in a release that St. Robert police were called to the Alpine Haus Motel around 6:45 a.m. Monday. The motel is located on Old Route 66.
When officers arrived, they found Laila D. Carpenter, 33, of St. Robert, dead in a motel room. Police say she was shot.
The investigation is ongoing and no additional details were released.
The Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control, the St. Robert and Rolla police departments, and the Sheriff’s departments of both Pulaski and Phelps counties are assisting in the investigation.
