Jessuan Cowans arrested after Boone County break-in and assault

Jessuan Cowans was arrested on charges of armed criminal action, burglary and assault Sunday.

Deputies saidCowans broke a window in the 600 block of Country Squire Court just before 8 a.m. Sunday morning.

Once inside the home, law enforcement saidhe overpowered a woman and threatened her with a weapon before running away.

According to a news release, Cowans was picked up without incident later at a relative’s house in Columbia.
