Cops Investigating Fight

One person was injured after a fight near two Columbia schools Wednesday afternoon.Around 3 p.m., Columbia police responded to the area around Douglass High School and Jefferson Junior High Schools around 3 p.m. Officers say the fight was over before they arrived at the scene.A student pointed out a 14-year-old juvenile who was involved in the fight. The teenager led police on a short foot chase before being detained by officers.Initial 911 reports say a knife was involved in the fight, but police say they have not been able to confirm if a knife was used.Columbia Public Schools officials say since the fight happened off school grounds, the incident is not out of their hands.The juvenile is currently in custody and the investigation is still ongoing.
