Daycare Briefly Put on Lockdown

An Osage County daycare was put on lockdown Wednesday after a man threatened to shoot himself in the building.According to law enforcement, the man and his wife — the owner of the daycare near Linn on County Road 401 — got into an altercation. He allegedly told her that he was going to shoot himself and that she should call an ambulance. The woman then called deputies.When deputies arrived at the daycare, the man was not there. The daycare was briefly put on lockdown with 30 to 40 kids inside.The man returned to the daycare and he was taken into custody. Deputies founds a rifle and shotgun inside the home, which is located across the street from the daycare.The man is being taken to custody.
